The fundamental mission of Warriors of the Wonderful Sound Inc. is to support, promote, and encourage composing, performing,
recording, interdisciplinary collaborations and perhaps most importantly educational activities devoted to 21st Century Jazz.
Although Jazz education has improved its visibility, funding and general pedagogy, very little attention has been paid to the
aesthetic advances in the music since 1960 (ie. modulating meter, non-metric swing, motivic improvisation, chromatic harmony....)--
in other words almost all of the attention in jazz education has been paid to the stylistic achievements of the 1950s---but much of
